Text:   Scott William Roberts Obituary
It is with great sorrow that the family of Scott William Roberts, age 60, announces his passing on Thursday, April 13, 2023 in Mount Prospect, IL.
Scott was born October 17, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois to proud and loving parents William and Alveyn Roberts. He graduated from Prospect High School in Mt. Prospect, where he was proud to have lettered in three sports, and Eastern Illinois University. Upon graduation, Scott moved to Dallas, Texas where he lived for 30 years and became an avid Cowboys fan. Later in life, Scott moved back to his hometown to marry his wife, Kim.
Scott enjoyed a sunny afternoon at the local swimming pool, an evening in the backyard next to the fire pit listening to George Strait, a walk through the neighborhood, and watching football with friends. To know Scott was to love Scott, which could be seen through the many friendships he maintained from every place he lived and worked.
Scott is preceded in death by his father William (Bill) Roberts and mother Alveyn (nee Wells). He is survived by his loving wife, Kim (nee Gach), sister, Joy (Tim) Eggert, and in-laws Carl and Rae Gach. He was the loving uncle to Christopher (Mary-Carter) Eggert, Dr. Melissa Eggert (Britt Hancock), and Matthew Eggert (fiance Amanda Beavers).
Scott leaves behind many loving and supportive friends. Although we will miss him dearly, we are comforted in knowing that he is with his Creator and is resting in peace. He is grateful to all of those that provided care to him.
Visitation Friday, 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 West Central Road, Mount Prospect.
